Melissa is Hatha/Vinyasa Yoga teacher, Yoga/Barre, and Stretch Coach for both group and private clients. Before coming to Arizona from the East Coast, she taught private clients of varying levels at Power Stretch Studios (now renamed KIKA Stretch Studios, recently featured in The New York Times, SELF Magazine, SHAPE Magazine) and Forward Motion Fitness/Wellness. She started and ran the Yoga-Barre program at Hit the Barre Studio, and taught group classes for NY Sports Club, among many other studios in the New York area. Since coming to Arizona, she ran the yoga program as the Resident Teacher at Grand Canyon National Park! She is passionate about fitness being accessible to everyone.
Melissa has a background in theatre, dance, and Alexander Technique, and this feeds her work in building creative and dynamic classes and private sessions for clients of varying levels.
She trained at Joschi Yoga Institute in NYC where they place great emphasis on meditation as well as proper alignment and anatomy, and has a BFA degree in Acting/Theatre Arts from SUNY Purchase College.
