Back-to-school time can stressful for kids and parents alike. It can take some time to adjust to the back to school routine. This can lead to unhealthy stress which may affect productivity in other aspects of life.
Â
Here are a few tips to relieve the back-to-school stress:
2. Start mutually supportive relationships with other parents.
You are among all the other parents and teachers who are stressed about the school year starting again. Creating relationships with other parents that can help can take some weight off your shoulder. For examples, ask another parent to pick up your kid after school and you can offer to drive their kid to school in the morning.
Â
3. Stay optimistic.
Yes, preparing for the kids to go back to school can be stressful, but it’s so important to stay optimistic. Staying optimistic reduces stress, keeps you healthy, and productive (How To Be More Of An Optimist).
Â
Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of going back to school, get excited and focus on the good. It’ll make it a whole lot easier.
Â
4. Get enough sleep.
With all the coordinating and scheduling, make sure to get enough sleep and time to rest! Also, it’s important to get a good night's rest. You can improve sleep various ways: not consuming caffeine late in the day, maintain a consistent sleep schedule, don’t drink alcohol, taking a relaxing bath and shower, etc. (Source: Tips to Sleep Better at Night).
